Osborn Maledon receives award from Arizona Public Defenders Association
Osborn Maledon last week received the Arizona Public Defender Association’s highest award for public service in support of indigent defense in Arizona.
The announcement of the award came at the Association’s annual conference and acknowledged the “extraordinary” legal assistance provided this year by Osborn Maledon criminal defense attorneys Larry Hammond, Tim Eckstein, Randy McDonald, Jana Sutton, and others who have briefed and argued cases on behalf of indigents facing legal accusations.
The conference was attended by 1,500 Arizona public defenders and their staffs. Incorporated in 2002, the Arizona Public Defender Association is a non-profit corporation comprised of all of the county, city, federal and tribal indigent representation offices and programs in the state. Its goal is to improve the quality of legal representation for low-income Arizonans who cannot afford representation, safeguarding their constitutional rights.
