Osborn Maledon announces the addition of attorney Kimberly Friday
Osborn Maledon, a Phoenix-based law firm, announces that Kimberly Friday has joined the firm as a partner in the litigation group. Formerly an Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of California, San Francisco, she has spent the last 10 years investigating, litigating, and resolving False Claims Act matters on behalf of the federal government. As the Deputy Chief of the Civil Division, she led the Northern District’s civil enforcement group from 2016-2019. Previously, she also worked in the Department of Justice’s Civil Fraud Section in Washington, D.C.
Ms. Friday’s practice at Osborn Maledon will focus on the False Claims Act, internal investigations, investigations, and criminal defense, general commercial litigation, and securities defense.
Her work with the government earned her recognition for leadership in the fight against health care fraud from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General, and for prosecution of individuals violating the Controlled Substances Act from the Drug Enforcement Administration; both awards were given in 2019. In 2014, she was recognized by the U.S. Attorney General for her work on fraud prevention.
She graduated summa cum laude from Boston University, where she was recognized for academic excellence, and earned her legal degree, magna cum laude, from New York University School of Law, Order of the Coif, also earning awards for her academic achievement.
