2024 Summer Associates join Osborn Maledon
Osborn Maledon is delighted to welcome our 2024 class of exceptionally talented Summer Associates. We look forward to a summer of learning, growth, and remarkable achievements together.
Our summer program offers high achievers the chance to collaborate closely with our team, immersing themselves in the firm’s unique culture and experiencing firsthand what it means to be a lawyer here at Osborn Maledon. This exceptional opportunity allows them to gain a deep understanding of our firm’s values and operations. We select our Summer Associates based on a rigorous process that considers a diverse range of criteria, including academic excellence, work and leadership experience, strong communication skills, and community service.
This summer, we are proud to welcome five exceptional JD candidates from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University: Elizabeth Zipp-Seng, Robert Corridan, Kevin Garcia, Rosemarie McCormick, and Devon Vaughan.
Elizabeth (Liz) Zipp-Seng is a 1L JD candidate at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University where she is a William H. Pedrick Scholar. Liz is concurrently a Ph.D. candidate at Grand Canyon University, where she recently successfully defended her dissertation. She has received numerous awards and recognitions including multiple school district teaching excellence awards; the Arizona Cardinals Teacher Excellence Award (2015); and the People Magazine All-Star Teacher Award (2014). Liz was a Teach for America grant recipient (2011), which led her to spend over a decade working in public education in Arizona prior to entering law school. A fun fact about Liz is she loves racing in long-distance triathlons and is always training for her next race!
Robert Corridan is a rising 2L at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. He has received the Sandra Day O’Connor Fellowship and is active with the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project. Robert is a graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering & Mathematics, where he achieved recognition on the Dean’s List from 2019-2023. While a student at Purdue, he worked as a Teaching Assistant and interned in an analyst role with The Canadian National Railway. A fun fact about Robert is he loves solving crosswords so much that he started writing his own.
Kevin Garcia is a rising 3L and returns to OM after spending his 1L summer here in 2023. In addition to seeking his JD at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, Kevin is also the Managing Editor of the Corporate & Business Law Journal and Chair of the Youth and Development committee for the Chicano Latino Law Student Association. He has received the CALI Excellence for the Future award and William H. Pedrick Scholar award. Kevin earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English at ASU. He graduated from college as a first-generation student and a first-generation American and is now on the path to becoming a first-generation attorney. A fun fact about Kevin is he is an avid mixed martial arts fan.
Rosemarie (Rosie) McCormack is a rising 3L at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University and returns to OM for a second summer. She earned a B.A. in International Political Economy from Fordham University in the Bronx and graduated as Valedictorian of the Class of 2020. For two years between college and law school, she worked as an Investigative Analyst in the Conviction Integrity Program at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. She is the Blog Editor for the Arizona State Law Journal and has received CALI awards for Administrative Law, Civil Procedure, Torts, Legal Method & Writing, Property, and Professional Responsibility. A fun fact about Rosie is in eighth grade, she won the Montana State National Geographic Bee and competed in Washington, D.C.
Devon Vaughan is a rising 3L at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University and the Executive Managing Editor of the Arizona State Law Journal. In law school, he has served as a teaching assistant for Legal Method & Writing and has received several honors including the William H. Pedrick Scholar and CALI Excellence for the Future awards. Prior to law school, Devon graduated cum laude from the University of Arizona with a B.S.H.S. in Physiology and had the honor of serving on the school’s Student Health Advocacy Committee. He has also worked as a judicial clerk in the Maricopa County Justice Courts assisting judges and overseeing a variety of cases from small claims to protective orders. A fun fact about Devon is he is a trained EMT and can recommend at least five different songs with the right tempo to perform CPR to.
